Philip Einhorn and Jack Neu are totally off track regarding their comments on raising the debt ceiling ("Debt limit debate: GOP threats are saving what's left of the country" and "Boehner has right answer on debt ceiling," June 6).
If we do not raise the debt limit, the interest on the debt will rise uncontrollably, putting the economy in an even deeper hole.
Why can't the Republican Party admit that the hole we are in is a result of the massive over-spending, relaxed taxes and excesses granted to big corporations by the Bush administration?
The Obama administration is trying to cope with the past, but the Republican Party is doing everything it can to stymie any progress by a Democratic president.
