Don't put technology ahead of teachers

In response to the Dallas Dance's letter defending his misuse of funds for technology in Baltimore County Public Schools ("Dance: Investments in technology, personnel are critical for county students," Jan. 7), his second paragraph shows that priorities have been sadly misaligned.

Mr. Dance writes that there are 10,000 staff members to support 8,800 teachers in Baltimore County. Those funds should be used to hire more teachers and keep them in our classrooms by paying them enough wages to live comfortably in the county where they teach.
