The Sun only fanned the flames of discord by printing Mark E. Brown's ridiculous letter about the recent unrest in Baltimore ("Take a cruise out of Baltimore? No way," May 29).
Mr. Brown, who hails from that bastion of racial equality, North Carolina, claims that he canceled his cruise from Baltimore because he didn't want to get shot or have his car burned in a parking lot.
I guess if one followed the biased reporting of the media that portrayed the entire city of Baltimore as in flames, an already jaded person might get that impression. But where was he planning on parking anyway — along North and Pennsylvania Avenues to take a cruise out of the harbor?
If Mr. Brown is so afraid then he should stay away. We don't need him. I have never had a problem in Baltimore in my 65 years, and I find The Sun's printing of ludicrous opinions like Mr. Brown's to be as irresponsible as much of the coverage following the death of Freddie Gray has been.
