Conaway's willful ignorance

Del. Frank Conaway asks what his "rejection in [sic] the belief that man evolved from monkeys" has to do with his "service as an elected representative in the Maryland House of Delegates" ("Conaway: My views on evolution are not pertinent," Oct. 26).

Well, for a start, his lazy, willfully ignorant description of the process of evolution — a process that underlies all of modern science — automatically casts doubt on any of his other assertions. I can't trust anyone to make trustworthy legislative decisions who refuses to acknowledge basic facts.
