Trump, a self-made failure

Regarding the letter from J. Michael Collins ("Why I'm for Trump," June 2), I found his description of Donald Trump as a "self-made billionaire" to be both humorous and troubling.

Mr. Trump inherited his wealth and cannot truly be described as being "self-made." Additionally, he has never proven himself to be a businessman of any great acumen with the failures of Trump Air, Trump Wine, Trump Steaks, Trump Travel, Trump Magazine and my personal favorite, Trump Mortgage (a boiler room operation that sold subprime mortgages and opened during a period when most others in real estate saw that the market was bottoming out. So much for his self-reputed keen eye in business analysis). Trump "University" took his business dealings to another level and has resulted in his current legal issues concerning fraud.

The claim that Hillary Clinton has "never really worked for business" is incorrect as well. Not only has she worked as an attorney, she was most recently employed as U.S. Secretary of State (a paid position last time I heard), all of which constitutes a fairly impressive resume in contrast to that of Mr. Trump's.
