Regarding your editorial "Another Clinton 'conspiracy' debunked" (July 5), the next time I roll through a stop sign or drive 10 mph over the posted speed limit, I hope the officer who catches me understands I was just being "extremely careless" with the safety of the public.
The officer undoubtedly will realize that no one was killed or injured by my unsafe driving and let me continue on without handing me a citation.
In like manner, Hillary Clinton believes that, since no harm (that we know of) was done by her use of a private email server, she should not have criminal charges brought against her. It was all just a mistake.
Your editorial concluded by stating that it's time for the country to move on to the more serious issues of character, temperament and policy.
If those are the qualities on which voters should evaluate presidential candidates then Ms. Clinton's evaluations would be 1) Character: disgraceful; 2) Temperament: vicious; and 3) Policy: best summed up by the 1970s Ashford and Simpson hit "Don't Cost You Nothing."
