Thank you for Sabrina S. Fu's recent commentary on lobbying Congress ("Want change? Lobby Congress," June 16).
The carbon tax and dividend makes the most sense to me as we move closer to a global crisis of biblical proportions. It is time for the posturing to end and for Republicans and Democrats to come together and face the greatest danger to the planet of our generation and generations to come.
As drought worsens in California, heat intensifies in India, and almost every part of the Earth deals with the ramifications of climate change, a sane and reasonable voice is heard.
I call on everyone to lobby their lawmakers on the problem. It is only from grass roots efforts such as those suggested by Ms. Fu that these great issues can be addressed.
