Support environmental legislation

Please consider the well-being of your future. Clean air, clean water and healthy soil are not options for living well, they are essential.

Yes, I have read about the hazards to our environment such as fracking and contaminants from fossil fuels, but more than what I read is what I no longer see in my own neighborhood: There are no more rabbits and hardly any birds. The robins don't stay around; they go somewhere else. And the whole slew of code red days in the summer make me cringe when I breathe — it hurts.

Please look into what bills the Maryland General Assembly has to work with for a clean environment and lobby your delegates and senators to vote yes for our future well-being ("Middle ground on phosphorus," March 19).
