City Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke is 100 percent correct that public officials should always apologize for poor or disrespectful manners ("Governor needs some manners," May 5).
I'm sure she also will be instructing our mayor to apologize for her "give them room to destroy" statement, which only added fuel to the rioting this city endured last year.
