Charm City Circulator shouldn't be Baltimore's top transit priority

The Charm City Circulator is a good idea that has been abused ("City to make 'drastic changes' to Circulator service, eliminate Banner route," May 4). For a visitor to Baltimore, what a terrific, friendly service. As an expanding commuter service to our downtown/midtown residents, I don't think so.

In terms of priorities for Baltimore's transit system, how about bus shelters and benches? It is painful to see our school children or any other public transit user standing at stops in the rain, heat, cold and snow. The general lack of benches and shelters does not seem to have solved our homeless problem and has not eliminated random vandalism. It has just added an additional burden to those dependent on the bus system.
