A recent article claimed it is common for suspects to arrive at the Baltimore City Detention Center with injuries so serious they can't be admitted ("Freddie Gray among many suspects who do not get medical care from Baltimore police," May 9).
I had to read quite a way into the article to find that only 2 percent of the people who are arrested arrive at Central Booking and Intake needing medical treatment.
In everyday English, 2 percent does not make something "common."
