Regarding your article in today's Sun ("Gaming the game: card counters vs. casinos," March 29) it sounds to me like the casinos want the odds completely stacked in their favor. If the casinos discover a patron "legally" using his innate ability to "gain an edge of perhaps 1.5 percent," apparently that is too much of an advantage. The casinos are raking in millions of dollars, yet that is not enough.
The gambling industry is built and thrives upon all the money of its losers. It is obvious that as long as a customer keeps losing or if one is able to beat the odds through only pure luck, the casinos will allow one to play. Don't even think about gaining any kind of advantage, even if it is legal.
