I had to laugh when I read Mark Brown's letter about how he not only canceled his cruise out of Baltimore but lost money in doing so ("Take a cruise out of Baltimore? No way." May 29).
Talk about a knee jerk reaction. If he had done some homework, like checking out the website cruisemaryland.gov, or maybe even called the cruise line, he would have discovered that the cruise ship terminal parking lot is very safe and secure.
We have taken a number of cruises out of Baltimore and parked in the terminal lot, which is fenced and guarded.
I might also add that the rioting Mr. Brown saw on national TV was nowhere near the cruise ship terminal.
