Justin Schall, Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown's campaign manager, has rejected Larry Hogan's criticism of Mr. Brown's ad campaign.
Mr. Schall said Mr. Hogan has proved over and over that he doesn't trust women to make their own health care decisions, be it by his support for banning abortions or his advocating a constitutional amendment that would limit women's access to birth control.
Of course, when President Barack Obama changed his mind over the years regarding same-sex marriage, Democrats thought it was fine because people have the right to change their views. But that must not be true for Republicans; they can still be held to something they said 30 years ago.
This whole campaign is about trying to paint Mr. Hogan as anti-women because of views he held 30 years ago.
