Boehner is no conservative

Shame on the so-called conservatives in the U.S. House of Representatives. More than 100 "conservatives" failed to gather enough votes to prevent John Boehner from having another opportunity to lead the House ("Boehner reelected as Speaker, but control over GOP majority precarious," Jan. 6). I cannot recall any significant event that was noteworthy during his six years as speaker. I do know that he jumped ship to provide funds for amnesty.

Frankly, I believe he is a Republican-in-name-only. Sadly, the conservatives could only muster 22 votes to oust him from the top job. There were far more Republicans who obviously don't have the guts to stop Mr. Boehner. In my opinion, the Democrats are the winners.
