A few weeks ago, the good citizens of Baltimore were protesting the death of Freddie Gray. Their signs read, "Black Lives Matter." This is true — they should matter.
However, in the last month, there were 43 deaths in Baltimore City. It seems to me that those 43 lives, some women and children, evidently didn't matter that much ("Homicides and shootings spike while arrests decline in Baltimore City," May 31)!
When will we learn that violence does not cure all ills? Wake up, Baltimore! All lives matter!
