Osama bin Laden, the most wanted person in the world, has finally been eliminated. "Justice has been done," the president said Sunday night. The event of 9/11 was indeed a dark day in the history of America. It was a dark day for Muslims around the world as the perpetrators of this heinous crime hijacked Islam and distorted its true meaning. The religion of peace was made into a religion of violence. As a Muslim American, I had to continuously defend my faith and reassure my fellow citizens that I am not a terrorist.
Now is the time that we should come together as a nation for a common cause, liberty and justice for all. We should put aside all our differences and heed the president's call: "Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power but because of who we are: one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
