The Baltimore Sun has given little attention to the Army's announcement that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl would be charged as a deserter ("Bergdahl charges revive questions over 'Taliban 5' prisoner swap," March 26).

The prisoner swap where the Taliban received their top five "draft choices" from Gitmo in exchange for Mr. Bergdahl was heavily reported national news. Could it be that once again, The Sun chooses not to downplay news item that is embarrassing to the current administration? President Barack Obama appeared "arm in arm" with Mr. Bergdahl's parents in the rose garden while Susan Rice went as far to defend the swap by saying he served with honor and distinction.

We already know that three of the five bad guys exchanged have already reached out to the Taliban to re-engage in terrorist activities. This is another in a long line of acute embarrassments for the current administration. It is crystal clear that in this case, as it was with the "Gruber scandal" (MIT Professor and Obamacare consultant Jonathan Gruber's description of Americans as "stupid" and suggestion that "a lack of transparency" was crucial to getting the Affordable Care Act passed five years ago) and as it is with many other stories damaging to liberal politics, The Sun would rather try and control the "narrative" than report the news.
