As a fan of the University of Maryland women's basketball team, I would appreciate seeing them get front page coverage on the Sports section once in awhile ("Sophomores lead the way in No. 7 Terps women's 84-74 win at Indiana," Jan. 26).
Despite their impressive record in the Big Ten, they rarely, if ever, make it on the front page. I fully realize that the men's sports programs bring in more money for the school than the women's teams, but does that have to mean less recognition of a team's athletic skills?
