I was pleased to read of the new proposed slogan, "Home of the Star Spangled Banner" ("New Baltimore slogan nods to city's star-spangled history," Jan. 13). I hardily approve! However, the article failed to mention a very important fact. The original copy of this city treasure is in the collection of the Maryland Historical Society, on view for all to see. It shared a venue this summer at the Smithsonian next to the original flag and is now back home. It's a real marketing tool for the city.
