Baltimore violence: Best to stay in Towson

Due to the third world conditions in Baltimore and the high crime rate, of which some are not officially recorded to make the statistics look good, my family and I never go into the city for fine dining and entertainment. Thanks but no thanks! We're happy to stay in good old Towson and the surrounding areas for good food and entertainment.
