There seems to be a concern by Baltimore police officers as to which laws are to be enforced ("Do your job too, Madam Mayor," June 19). The mayor and City Council should jointly decide which laws are relevant and rescind all others. Publish the remaining laws so that the police and citizens will know what is permitted and enforceable. The mayor and City Council must support the enforcement of existing laws by their police officers or take the "quality of life" infractions off the books. The police need this clarification so they will know what they can legally do.
