The recent art show around Druid Hill Park, Art Outside, was the best yet. Kudos to Barbara Shapiro and her crew for putting together another fabulous event.
Even with hazy weather, Baltimoreans came out in droves to bring art back to the city. After all Baltimore has been through in the past month, it was wonderful to see so many supporting our city.
With over 100 juried artists providing ceramics to paintings, jewelers and photographers to name a few, as well as continuous music, kids activities including a "flea show," dog show and marble statues of posed people and a movie showing additional art in the area, the show had something for everyone.
The Art Outside committee covered every base. It's great to see our city come together. I hope this event can find momentum for future years as it has been generously supported by private donors.
