Doreen Bolger's "Shining a light on Baltimore's arts scene" (op-ed, April 19) perfectly characterizes the effete snobbery of the arcane, rarified, artistic elite. Her conclusion: "you need the inspiration and insight these great artists will provide" left me stunned by the arrogance.
Ms. Bolger relies on distinguished juries of philanthropic trusts to define and dictate good art; if she didn't she would be biting the hand that feeds her. She stresses that she and our financially better-off superiors will see to our aesthetic needs. They needn't, we're fine, thank you.
