"Alarmed about the growing threat from Islamic State, the Obama administration has dramatically stepped up warnings of potential terrorist attacks on American soil…."
So much for the "junior varsity" of terrorism threats. History will almost certainly deem the foreign policy of this administration as the most directionless and incompetent in the history of the Republic ("Push to write new war powers for Obama stalls in Congress," May 18).
Whether one is discussing Russia, Iran, Egypt, Syria, Central or Eastern Africa, North Korea, Pakistan — or the reputation of the United States generally in the world — the recurring themes are weakness, indecision and failure. I challenge anyone to identify a country with which we now have better relations or which regards us in a better light than it did in 2008.
