Letter writer Frederick C. Lohn criticizes the display of the Under Armour logo by Maryland's governor, Baltimore's mayor and a Maryland congressman ("Why the free ads for Under Armour?" May 6).
Is he kidding? Under Armour is a highly successful home-grown, internationally recognized corporation and it's still based in Baltimore.
I would hope that the Maryland politicians would display the logo of this outstanding corporate citizen. Under Armour not only provides jobs in Maryland but actively supports many charities and institutions in our city and state.
Would the writer rather have seen our local and state officials displaying the logos of Under Armour's foreign competitors?
