I was surprised to see our financially strapped city mail all voters a correction to a prior official primary sample ballot that listed the incorrect date for the election ("Fix the bigger mistake" Aug. 22) .
For a couple dollars they could have posted a sign at each polling place the morning of September 3rd, saying "our error, election is September 13th, see you then!", as if anyone has not gotten the word from extensive news of the mistake. And the mindless new mailing invites us to "vote during early voting" on given dates but does not list the half dozen places where this can be done. Another oversight! Whoever is in charge of election communications needs to do a better job.
