I couldn't understand your July 6 editorial ( "Inner Harbor fireworks" ), which said not to judge Baltimore crime by the shooting and stabbing at the Harbor on the 4th of July.
The violent incidents, which included a murder, illustrate just how unsafe the city really is, if one can't go to see fireworks in peace.
Incidentally, this isn't the first time that violence has broken out at the event.
It's quite ironic that this is a holiday about being proud to be an American.
