I am shaking my head in disgust, not because of the lawsuit regarding the conditions at the Baltimore County animal shelter (having seen first hand the deplorable conditions in county animal shelters), but because of the callous, ignorant statements made by Don Mohler ("Residents sue Baltimore County over animal shelter conditions," Jan. 2).
Mr. Mohler described the litigation as "absolutely absurd" and made reference to looking up "frivolous lawsuit" in the dictionary and seeing its image. If this is an example of the mentality of the spokesman and chief of staff for County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, I am very sorry I voted for him.
I applaud the efforts being made by Anne George, Jody Kesner and Jody Rosoff to bring these conditions to the public's attention and hope that their suit against the county is successful.
