I would like to add one more traffic safety infraction to those listed in the recent editorial (speeders, aggressive drivers, and cellphone users) which every day are making our public Maryland roadways increasingly more dangerous ("Traffic deaths up, tickets down," April 29).
That is windows tinted in excess of the statute maximum. A major component of safe and defensive driving is the ability to look at the other driver to see what they are seeing and how the will both act and react. Windows tinted beyond the state mandated maximum force the rest of us to literally "drive in the dark."
Police action to aggressively cite cellphone users along with blacked out vehicles is the only way to curtail these dangerous and often deadly practices.
