Nick's Fish House under new management

The owners of several popular Delaware beach establishments have officially taken over the management of Nick's Fish House & Grille in Port Covington.

The waterside establishment will now be known by the shorter name Nick's Fish House, according to a news release from the new operators.

The new management includes Steve "Monty" Montgomery, the owner of Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach, and his business partner; Jim Weisgerber, operator of Bethany Blues BBQ restaurants in Bethany and Lewes; and Eric Sugrue, managing partner of the Rehoboth Beach-based Big Fish Restaurant Group, whose properties include Big Fish Grill and Summerhouse Saloon.

The operators said they will keep some menu favorites; a new menu emphasizing fresh fish and seafood is in development.
