Subscribers to DISH will not be able to see WBAL-TV (Channel 11) in Baltimore until the broadcast company that owns the channel and the satellite TV provider work out a new agreement on retransmission fees.
Hearst, the owner of WBAL, pulled their channels from DISH in 26 markets as of today. The company went through the same procedure in January with DirecTV.
The DISH channel in this market is 5162.
Again, I am tired of the spin from both sides on these retransmission fee fights. It's totally annoying and seems to assume we are fools that don't know we are being spun.
All that matters is that viewers are inconvenienced when the two parties get to this point in their negotiations.
