The 58th National Capital Chesapeake Bay Regional Emmy Awards ceremony was held in Baltimore on Saturday night.

Jayne Miller, WBAL investigative reporter, received the Board of Governors Award.

According to the chapter's website, "Historically, the Board of Governors Award is presented for truly outstanding achievement and unique accomplishment of some duration and durability."

Among the other regional Emmys going to journalists at Baltimore TV stations were those for anchoring by Mary Bubala, of WJZ, and reporting by Kathleen Cairns, of WBFF.

Maryland Public Television won in the magazine category for "Outdoors Maryland," while WMAR won for single spot news promotion.

Alison Parker, one of two journalists from WDBJ in Roanoke, Va., who were shot and killed on assignment in 2015, was awarded an Emmy for reporting.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast on Maryland Public Television MPT2 channel at 8 p.m. Friday.
