Is ISIS' rise the start of World War III? [Letter]

My heart is very saddened today as I listen and read the media reports related to the radical and terrorist units in the Middle East who are speaking out as they describe various avenues by which they eventually hope to destroy the U.S. units in that area, particularly by the leaders of the ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

In my opinion, strong defensive action must be taken at this point if the U.S. is to survive. It is possible that the U.S. could take another pounding similar to the one we received in 9/11, which was planned and executed by terrorists enjoying sanctuary in Afghanistan.

Unfortunately, it appears that the U.S., under the current leadership of President Barack Obama, must accept the responsibility of starting this storm when he released our military units from Iraq on December 31, 2011 and sent them home. This no doubt was a political ploy; but instead all Hell broke loose in the form of civil strife within numerous Middle East countries being battered and bruised which ended up crippling U.S. foreign policy.

What next? Personally, I believe that in order for our livelihood to be salvaged, it no doubt will require a very active defensive war in order to eliminate those radical and terrorist units composed of the Taliban, al-Qaida and now ISIS.

It is also very interesting to note that France and Great Britain have just recently made a swipe at ISIS, which certainly signifies the group's standing. It's all beginning to take on the appearance of opening the door to World War III.

The U.S. must take every action possible in order to save our country and our bodies and souls, even if it requires the drafting of our fellow man.
