Westboro to Reimer: The word of God will not be silenced [Letter]

Susan Reimer's raging is in vain. ("Is the death of Westboro Baptist leader Fred Phelps cause for celebration?" March 21.)

Pastor Fred Phelps preached a faithful gospel to this generation, and he was the soul that The Lord our God used to teach the servants of God at Westboro Baptist Church how to be faithful and so forth. Pastor Phelps has not picketed a soldier funeral since 2007. That work was done by others, and The Lord willing, we will continue to be faithful to warn you, as the hour is short.

Our Lord Jesus Christ preached repentance! Matthew 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Westboro Baptist Church says to one and all: REPENT: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!

Here is the published commentary of the church in two excellent forms for your edification:

The church has issued an official statement that is available at blogs.sparenot.com.

That statement goes nicely along with this video news.

The Lord our God prepared us for this hour. You should thank God and mean it.

Your friends at Westboro Baptist Church,

Shirley Phelps-Roper, Westboro, Kans.
