Why doesn't this arrogant Congress give up their own salaries and benefits when they shut down the government ("No progress toward deal on shutdown," Oct. 1)?

Can we vote on making that a prerequisite for their irresponsible action? Do they even think about all those poor children who can't afford school lunches?
