It will be too late to act on climate change if Congress doesn't stand up to the power of the fossil fuel lobby and do right by present and future generations ("It's not too late," July 24).
That's why Sens. Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski and Reps. Chris Van Hollen, Elijah Cummings, John Delaney, Steny Hoyer, Donna Edwards, John Sarbanes, Dutch Ruppersberger and Andy Harris must come together in a bipartisan fashion to support legislation that puts a gradually rising price on carbon emissions in order to promote investment in clean technology and shift away from our over-dependence on fossil fuels.
Maryland's delegation has a chance to lead on climate. Will they take that chance?
