Nominations sought for the region's Top Workplaces

When people talk about the top places to work, the same words pop up over and over — words like flexibility, collaboration, respect, challenging, direction, rewarding and family.

Are those terms you'd use to describe your company? Are you excited to go to work? Do you think your boss would help you out in a pinch?

The Baltimore Sun is seeking its annual nominations for the region's Top Workplaces. Last year, 75 companies were recognized as top employers in the Baltimore area.

Anyone can suggest a company — employees, interns, customers, even executives. It doesn't matter if the workplace is for-profit or nonprofit, privately owned or publicly held, but it must employ at least 50 people.

Employees of nominated firms that choose to participate will be asked to respond to a short questionnaire by The Sun's partner, WorkplaceDynamics LLC, which has conducted Top Workplace surveys for more than 25 news organizations.

The surveys will be used to rank the top companies. Winners will be announced at an event in late November and featured in a special magazine to be published in early December.
