If you want new leaders, vote the old ones out of office

Recently, in a "What Maryland thinks" poll, The Sun asked whether Maryland state legislative leaders have been in office too long (specifically House Speaker Michael E. Buschand Senate PresidentThomas V. Mike Miller). The overwhelming majority answered "yes," but does anyone see the hypocrisy of this answer? Many of these people are surely voters who are responsible for continuing to elect these same leaders, term after term and expecting a different result.

So, readers, don't you think it's way past time to put party aside and vote policies and not politics as usual? It shouldn't matter if you are a Democrat, Republican or independent. If you don't like or agree with the current representatives' policies, vote them out. You might be surprised at the positive outcome of such an outrageous suggestion.
