Sept. 11 blood drive a great success

Today, I am proud to be a Baltimorean for this week marked the end of the "Muslims for Life" blood drive campaign headed by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The blood drives collected over 11,000 bags of blood in honor of Sept. 11 victims, potentially saving 33,000 lives.

As a co-organizer for the blood drive at Johns Hopkins University, which garnered nearly 174 bags, I would like to thank everyone that came out and gave blood at the many different locations across Baltimore.

The "Muslims for Life" campaign highlights the ability of the American people to come together, despite their differences, in a time when it is most needed.
