Sun substitutes snark for substance

As the Baltimore Sun continues to diminish in size, readership and importance, it is so disappointing to see you try to rescue the relevance of the Maryland Voices section through snarky little editorials such as "Towson, a realist's view" on March 20. When you are down, it is so tempting to denigrate others instead of making efforts to raise yourself up. I suppose derogatory editorial comments about other suburban neighborhoods such as Dundalk, Columbia and Reisterstown will soon follow. Very sad. How about sponsoring a contest for a new slogan for The Baltimore Sun? Instead of "Light for All," please consider "The Baltimore Sun, we used to be a great newspaper."
