The effort of the Republicans in congress to cut funds for Planned Parenthood ("Misguided attack," Feb. 25) makes about as much sense as cutting funds for vaccinations. That's what we used to call "penny wise and pound foolish."

It may play well with the voters, but it will affect both the rich and poor; it just takes a little longer to reach the well off.
