Rodricks should think twice on priest shortage

It looks like our distinguished local theologian Dan Rodricks ("Not enough Catholic priests? End celibacy, ordain women," October 28, 2010) needs a reminder:

The Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States (where I was baptized as a child) allows clergy to marry, ordains women and gay bishops, and even has a bishop (of New Hampshire) who is legally married to another man. Despite this wonderful inclusiveness, the Episcopal Church is riven by schism and is falling apart as an institution.
