It's hard for me to know where to start concerning your liberal endorsements ("Kratovil for Congress," Oct. 24).
First of all, to call Rep. Frank Kratovil an "independent voice" is almost laughable. He has been a soon-to-be ex-speaker Nancy Pelosi lapdog 84 percent of the time — including on the failed stimulus, cap and tax, card check, etc. The only reason he did not vote for the final version of the tragic Obamacare bill was because he got a hall pass from the Democratic powers that be who knew they had enough votes when the Stupak anti-abortion fraud was beaten by yet another Obama lie.
Mr. Kratovil has also stated that he will not vote to repeal this awful 2,000-plus page health care nightmare if he is re-elected.
State Sen. Andy Harris will win on Nov. 2 because of the tremendous groundswell of supporters from the Ocean City boardwalk to Cecil County. We have out-organized and out-worked the Kratovil campaign and will continue right through Nov. 2. We have great faith in Dr. Harris' ability, experience and integrity.
We have done this because we know that the Obama/Reid/Pelosi progressive agenda must be stopped and a conservative voice from the 1st District is needed. Dr. Harris will work to slow down the out-of-control spending, ensure a smaller role for government, create more job opportunities through the private sector, make sure that job-killing cap and tax and card check legislation is killed.
I know that you at the liberal Sun will end up backing mostly Democrats in the deep blue state of Maryland because you can't help yourselves. You ignore all the national polls which show President Obama's policies have failed miserably because you have supported almost everything he stands for.
Finally, we will take back the House and possibly the Senate on Nov. 2 — the most important election in my lifetime, and I have been voting since the '60s. America is center-right country and we conservatives have been awakened and we will not quit. The future of the country that we love is at stake!
