The article "Ehrlich would cut schools to fund tax cut" (Oct. 7) reveals that the Thornton education funding law mandates taxing the middle class in order to fund the schools of the rich people in Montgomery County because their cost of living is higher.
I'm confused now, because the Democrats keep saying they want to tax the rich.
It seems to me that Montgomery County, which is one of the richest counties in the entire nation, can afford to pay its own teachers instead of leeching off of those who are less well off.
