Where is that sense of restraint and decorum? When one is baited, the other is compelled to counter with more juvenile verbal fodder.
Lord, I pine for the days when political aspirants touted their own merits and wouldn't even mention their opponents' names. The time frame at which the change occurred (attacking opponents) was likely commensurate with the loss of moral fiber in our great country.
Gentlemen, you are public servants and supposedly role models (at least to your respective families). No wonder politicians are perceived with such disdain by the average Joe Citizen.
Address real issues and problems, gentlemen. Quit the personal sniping. In other words, grow up!
