As the mother of three children, two of whom attend Hampton Elementary, I applaud your coverage of the Hampton Elementary overcrowding. I am appalled that Baltimore County Public Schools allowed Hampton Elementary to get to 63 percent over capacity. Where was the long-term planning?

We will be watching closely the funding and construction process to ensure that our wonderful staff, teachers and children receive the addition they so desperately need. Our government officials and BCPS are on notice.
