If a civilian pulled that stunt ("Officer who shot husky acted in self defense, lawyer says," Aug. 6), he would be facing years in jail for reckless endangerment. For a cop, it is considered legal target shooting or just cop fun.

Remember Mayor Cheye Calvo. The SWAT team probably received letters of commendation for terrorizing his family and murdering his dog. Cops are now Gestapo and out of control.
