Immigration and the governor's race

I have never voted anything but Democratic but now I will only vote for a candidate that is against illegal immigration. This governor's race I will vote for former Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. Governor Martin O'Malley has declared Maryland a "sanctuary" state. He supports items such as in state tuition for illegals at the same time state workers are being furloughed and fired.State funds(and local) are going to subcontractors who use immigrants when our own people are desperate and losing their homes.State funds are going to labor centers so illegal day laborers can get cash jobs they don't pay taxes on in comfort.

Beware state, local and national politicians: Pandering to businesses that need cheap labor or a voting bloc does not stop the rest of us from having the power to exercise our vote. We vote for people who support immigrants who came here legally. Not those who lied and cheated and jumped ahead of those who did.

Who wants to support politicians who knowingly support lying and cheating? Are illegals who use somebody else's identity OK too? Do you agree with illegal supporters that illegals pay taxes for housing and purchases so never mind income tax? And many illegals pay income taxes (often under an assumed name)so don't worry about those who don't? Is it acceptable to come here, have children, and use these children to get welfare and other government services? Do you agree that illegals should be able to collect the Social Security they accrued under a stolen identity?

The compassion argument doesn't wash. Where is the compassion for Americans who could be doing road and bridge work, construction, contracting and so on that is being done by illegals? Where is the concern for the lost tax revenue that could be saving jobs and services? Helping the homeless? Keeping rec centers open?

The Arizona law is working. Illegals in that state are talking about moving to other states. Voters here need to get rid of Maryland politicians who make this state an attractive place to come to. .And not just vote them in because they talk tough on illegal immigration just around election time.
