How does the city come up with its estimate of $11 million in annual revenue for the proposed bottle tax? That's 275 million bottles at 4 cents each.
The Census bureau estimates current Baltimore population at 637,500.
Every man woman and child in the city would need to buy 431 taxed bottles per year to meet that.
Not at all likely.
So maybe the whole thing is a moot argument.
